{"id":4912,"date":"2022-09-02T09:51:55","date_gmt":"2022-09-02T07:51:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uvalal.uva.es\/?page_id=4912"},"modified":"2022-11-30T13:33:40","modified_gmt":"2022-11-30T11:33:40","slug":"equipment","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/uvalal.uva.es\/index.php\/funding\/equipment\/","title":{"rendered":"equipment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The UVALAL<\/strong>\u2019s research equipment consists of specialized hardware and software that are necessary to run our experiments.<\/p>\n<p>The hardware includes an EyeLink Portable Duo eyetracker.<\/p>\n<p>We also have a computer equipment that comprises desktops, laptops, and iPads, as well as different peripherals (e.g., headphones, microphones, audio cards, external hard drives) and recording devices (e.g., video and audio recorders).<\/p>\n<p>The software used for the programming of eyetracking experiments are the SR Research Experiment Builder and the Data Viewer, and for the statistical analysis of all our data the R Package (R Core Team).<\/p>\n<p>We make use of the following proficiency tests:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>offline proficiency tests<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>\u2013&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pearsonassessments.com\/store\/usassessments\/en\/Store\/Professional-Assessments\/Academic-Learning\/Brief\/Peabody-Picture-Vocabulary-Test-%7C-Fourth-Edition\/p\/100000501.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>PPVT<sup>TM<\/sup>-4<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><em> Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test, <\/em>4<sup>th<\/sup> (Dunn and Dunn 2007)<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>\u2013&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/web.teaediciones.com\/plon-r-prueba-de-lenguaje-oral-navarra-revisada.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Plon-R.<\/em><\/a><em> Prueba de lenguaje oral Navarra-Revisada <\/em>(Aguinaga et al. 2005)<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>\u2013&nbsp;<\/strong>Oxford Placement Test 1 <\/em>and <em>Oxford Placement Test 2 <\/em>(Dave 2004)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>online proficiency tests (tokens purchased by the UVALAL)<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u2013&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridgeenglish.org\/es\/placement-test\/\">C<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridgeenglish.org\/es\/placement-test\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ambridge English Placement Test<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>\u2013&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridgeenglish.org\/es\/exams-and-tests\/young-learners-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cambridge Young Learners Placement Test<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We have built and run experimental tests via online tools such as <a href=\"https:\/\/gorilla.sc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gorilla<sup>TM<\/sup><\/a> (tokens purchased by the UVALAL).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The UVALAL\u2019s research equipment consists of specialized hardware and software that are necessary to run our experiments.
